What this boat is
The Mondomarine M50 is a 49.2-metre, all-aluminium motor yacht combining a semi-displacement hull with accommodation spread across three principal decks and a substantial sundeck. Developed with Hot Lab and delivered in 2016, it brings together a full-beam owner's suite, extensive outdoor entertaining areas and a folding beach-club platform. Its configuration suits professionally crewed ownership, with both fast cruising and longer passages at reduced speed.
The model in detail
The Mondomarine M50 emerged as a Hot Lab collaboration in 2012, entered construction in 2014 and reached the water at Savona, Italy, in June 2016. Its principal dimensions are 49.2 metres overall, a 9-metre beam and a 2.6-metre draft, with an enclosed volume of 499 GT. Hot Lab developed the exterior and original interior, while Mondomarine Engineering undertook the naval architecture and technical development. The pronounced rake of the stern and sweeping superstructure distinguish the design.
The original accommodation comprises five cabins: a full-beam owner's suite, two doubles and two twins, with two additional Pullman berths. This provides ten principal guest berths and provision for twelve guests when the Pullmans are used. Crew accommodation was designed for up to twelve. Full-height glazing extends along much of the main deck, while two lounges provide separate indoor gathering spaces. The original decorative scheme combined classical architectural details, multiple marble varieties, mahogany and elaborately patterned fabrics.
Outdoor spaces are distributed across three principal decks and the sundeck. A central passage between aft sunpads connects with the cockpit lounge, while the upper outdoor areas provide further seating and dining space. The sundeck was equipped with a bar, sunpads, alfresco dining and a Jacuzzi. At the stern, a folding transom creates a waterside platform associated with the beach club. A separate starboard-side garage accommodates the tender, keeping its storage distinct from guest relaxation areas.
Twin MTU 16V 2000 M84 diesels drive conventional propeller shafts. The original performance specification gives a maximum speed of 20 knots, cruising at 19 knots and approximately 3,500 nautical miles of range at 12 knots. Earlier construction specifications used a 17-knot cruising figure. Fuel capacity is approximately 80,300 litres, with 11,800 litres of fresh water. Both hull and superstructure are aluminium alloy, and the semi-displacement platform was developed from a hull family used for earlier Mondomarine deliveries. Construction specifications called for ABS commercial-yacht classification.
The delivered yacht subsequently underwent a substantial refit in 2023–2024, introducing an interior by Ozge Van and a six-cabin arrangement for twelve guests, with eleven crew. Later equipment includes a bow pool and a beach-club gym and sauna. These changes belong to the individual yacht's evolution rather than a separate standard M50 production version; the original five-cabin specification and the refitted configuration should therefore be distinguished.
Equipment documented aboard includes zero-speed stabilisation, two 125 kW Kohler generators and an additional smaller generator. The combination of extensive guest areas, substantial machinery and dedicated crew quarters makes this a professionally operated superyacht rather than an owner-driven vessel. Its operating profile combines coastal cruising and watersports with longer repositioning passages at economical speed.

Frequent questions
An original announced new-build base price has not been established. As of 26 October 2026, one distinct pre-owned example was found publicly offered at US$28.4 million, approximately €25.373 million using the latest available reference exchange rate dated 23 October 2026; duplicate advertisements are not separate yachts.
The original specification gives a 20-knot maximum, a 19-knot cruising speed and approximately 3,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. The refitted yacht's operating figures are lower, at 19 knots maximum and 13 knots cruising.
The original layout has five guest cabins: one owner's suite, two doubles and two twins, plus two Pullman berths, providing ten principal berths and provision for twelve guests. The subsequent refit introduced six cabins accommodating twelve guests.
The original design provides accommodation for up to twelve crew. The refitted configuration carries eleven; these are accommodation figures rather than a stated minimum safe-manning requirement.
The M50 was built by Mondomarine at Savona in Italy and delivered in 2016. Mondomarine Engineering developed the naval architecture, while Hot Lab designed the exterior and original interior; Ozge Van designed the later refitted interior.
The yacht has two MTU 16V 2000 M84 diesel engines driving propeller shafts. A documented fuel-consumption figure is approximately 560 litres per hour at 17 knots, although actual consumption varies with loading, sea conditions and machinery use.
