What this boat is
The Azimut Grande 36M is a composite motor yacht introduced in 2022, combining five guest cabins with a semi-walkaround upper deck and a skylounge that opens on three sides. Designed for professionally crewed cruising, it suits owners seeking separate entertaining areas, a main-deck owner’s suite and a choice between economical displacement-speed passages and faster coastal cruising.
The model in detail
Introduced in 2022, the Azimut Grande 36M measures 35.29 metres overall, with a 7.50-metre beam and a published full-load draft of 1.96 metres. Built in Italy by Azimut, it has exterior styling by Alberto Mancini and naval architecture developed by P.L. Ausonio Naval Architecture with Azimut’s R&D department. The original interiors were designed by Achille Salvagni, whose curved furnishings contrast with the yacht’s angular exterior detailing.
Accommodation centres on a full-beam owner’s suite forward on the main deck, with large windows on both sides. Four further guest cabins occupy the lower deck, providing a standard total of ten guest berths. Individual yachts can have additional Pullman beds. Six guest bathrooms include a day head, while four crew cabins provide six crew berths. Separate circulation routes help keep service movements apart from guest areas.
The defining outdoor arrangement is the Infinity Skydeck: an upper-deck layout connecting the aft terrace to the forward lounging area without a change of level. Retractable side glazing and aft doors open the skylounge on three sides. The forward leisure area can include a glass-sided spa pool and sunpads. At the stern, a folding transom platform creates a beach-club area, while a lateral-launching garage keeps the tender separate from the waterfront relaxation space.
Twin MTU diesels rated at 2,200 hp each form the standard propulsion package, with 2,400 hp engines also offered. Published maximum speed is up to 24 knots, and cruising speed is approximately 18–19 knots. Fuel capacity is 19,000 litres, with 3,700 litres of fresh water. Technical target figures include approximately 1,400 nautical miles at 12 knots and 500 nautical miles at around 18 knots; equipment, loading and sea conditions affect achievable performance.
The GRP hull uses Azimut’s D2P, or Displacement-to-Planing, architecture, combining double chines with a wave-piercing bow. Carbon fibre in upper structures reduces weight high above the waterline. This construction supports the yacht’s combination of enclosed volume and extensive outdoor spaces. The model carries RINA Pleasure classification, and its onboard air-treatment system supplies filtered outside air to accommodation spaces, including the lower-deck cabins.
Layout flexibility extends to a main saloon arranged with either two seating areas or conventional lounge-and-dining zones; the skylounge can instead accommodate dining or a media room. The original programme also offered an optional sundeck and a lower-profile configuration without it. In September 2025, redesigned interiors by m2atelier introduced straighter architectural lines and a pleated-fabric Gradient Wall. Stabilisation and leisure-equipment specifications vary between individual yachts, making build year, layout and options important distinctions when comparing examples.

Frequent questions
A verified original base price is not available. As of 19 October 2026, five distinct pre-owned examples of the original Grande 36M were identified with asking prices of approximately €10.990 million to €16.000 million and a median of €14.165 million, using current exchange rates. Published maximum speed is up to 24 knots, with cruising at approximately 18–19 knots. Indicative technical targets are about 1,400 nautical miles at 12 knots and 500 nautical miles at around 18 knots, subject to loading, equipment and operating conditions.
The standard arrangement has five guest cabins accommodating ten guests, including a full-beam main-deck owner’s suite and four lower-deck cabins. Some individual yachts have additional Pullman berths, so their sleeping capacity can be higher.
Yes, its accommodation provides six crew berths across four cabins, with separate service circulation. This is the accommodation capacity rather than a universal minimum manning requirement.
Azimut builds the Grande 36M in Italy, using a GRP hull and carbon-fibre elements. Alberto Mancini designed the exterior, while P.L. Ausonio Naval Architecture and Azimut’s R&D department developed the naval architecture.
The model entered production in 2022 with interiors by Achille Salvagni. Redesigned interiors by m2atelier debuted in September 2025, introducing more linear forms and a distinctive pleated-fabric saloon wall; engine choices, saloon layouts and the optional sundeck also distinguish individual builds.
