The Azimut Seadeck 9 is a 25.6-metre planing flybridge yacht built around outdoor living, with a three-tier stern combining folding terraces, a swimming pool and direct water access. As the flagship of the Seadeck family, it combines accommodation for eight or ten guests with triple Volvo Penta IPS propulsion, appealing to owners who want fast cruising alongside generous space for swimming, entertaining and extended stays aboard.

The model in detail

Built by Azimut in Avigliana, Italy, the Seadeck 9 became the largest yacht constructed at that facility when the first example was launched in January 2026. Alberto Mancini designed the exterior, Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez created the interiors, and NAMES collaborated with Azimut’s research and development department on the hull. Measuring 25.6 metres overall with a 6.3-metre beam, it heads the Seadeck family above the smaller 6 and 7.

The defining feature is the 60-square-metre Fun Island, arranged across three descending aft terraces. Folding side sections expand the space around a flush-deck pool with a transparent wall, while sliding sunpads cover the pool when required. A seven-square-metre hydraulic bathing platform lowers into the water. Above, the flybridge provides a second helm, dining facilities, a cooking station and sunbathing space beneath and beyond its hardtop; a separate foredeck lounge adds another outdoor seating area.

The main saloon connects directly to the aft terrace through large sliding glass doors, with step-free circulation between indoors and outdoors. Interior finishes offer a choice between warmer light walnut and paler oak. The four-cabin arrangement places a full-beam owner’s suite amidships on the lower deck, a VIP forward and two guest cabins between them, all with private bathrooms. A five-cabin alternative increases overnight guest capacity from eight to ten. Two separate crew cabins accommodate up to three.

Standard propulsion consists of three 900 hp Volvo Penta IPS 1200 installations, producing 2,700 hp in total. Optional triple IPS 1350 installations raise output to 3,000 hp. Maximum speed is up to 30 knots, with cruising speed up to 24 knots; a published range figure with the larger engines is 343 nautical miles at 21 knots. Fuel capacity is 5,800 litres and fresh-water capacity is 1,500 litres. Full-load draft, including the propellers, is 1.88 metres.

Construction combines a GRP hull with extensive carbon-fibre use, including the superstructure. The deep-V planing hull carries CE Category A certification and was developed to improve efficiency across a broad cruising-speed band. The yacht is engineered for hybrid-electric integration, but this should not be confused with standard diesel IPS propulsion. Its available Hotel Mode uses a dedicated lithium battery system to supply onboard services with the generators stopped, for up to four hours by day or eight hours overnight.

Early equipment specifications include a Seakeeper 26 gyroscopic stabiliser and twin 28 kW Kohler generators, although individual build specifications vary. Separate crew circulation supports guest privacy, while the pool, watersports storage and multiple dining areas make the layout particularly focused on life at anchor. Engine choice, cabin count, interior palette and energy-system specification are important distinctions when comparing examples.
