What this boat is

Oceanco Alfa Nero is a one-off, 82-metre displacement motor yacht delivered in 2007, combining Nuvolari Lenard exterior design with Alberto Pinto interiors. Her convertible aft swimming pool, private owner's terrace and extensive wellness facilities distinguish a layout accommodating 12 guests, with spaces for both family cruising and large social gatherings. She has an established charter history alongside her role as a private superyacht.

The model in detail

Delivered by Oceanco in 2007, Alfa Nero is a custom superyacht rather than a series-production model. Nuvolari Lenard created the exterior, while Alberto Pinto designed an interior combining a monochrome foundation with colour, contemporary art and textured finishes. The shipyard identifies her convertible aft pool as a defining innovation: its surface can become a helideck or dance floor instead of remaining permanently dedicated to swimming.

Her displacement hull is steel and her superstructure aluminium. Oceanco and Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture share naval-architecture credits. Principal dimensions are 82 metres overall, 14.2 metres beam and 3.9 metres draught, with an internal volume of 2,159 GT. SuperYacht Times records Lloyd's Register classification, approximately 290,000 litres of fuel capacity and 150,000 litres of fresh water.

Six guest staterooms accommodate 12 people across three decks linked by a glass-enclosed lift. The upper-deck master suite has an office, dressing room and private forward terrace with a Jacuzzi. Other accommodation comprises two VIP suites, another double and two convertible twin/double cabins. An additional staff suite explains why some specifications count seven cabins without increasing the stated guest capacity.

Propulsion comes from two MTU 16V 595 TE70 diesel engines, each rated at approximately 3,490 kW, driving twin propellers. The established published maximum is 20 knots, with economical cruising figures around 14–15 knots and a quoted range of approximately 5,500 nautical miles. These are published specifications rather than guarantees of present-day performance; current brokerage material also contains differing speed and range figures.

The aft pool's lifting floor creates a substantial outdoor entertaining area when raised. Separate Jacuzzis serve the owner's terrace and top deck, rather than constituting three equivalent swimming pools. Leisure facilities include a panoramic gym, steam room, sauna, spa treatment spaces and beauty salon. The upper salon converts into a cinema, while stabilisers operate both underway and at anchor.

Evolution has taken the form of refits, not model-year versions. Oceanco's 2021 publication documents an extensive shipyard visit involving hull and superstructure repainting, class and flag surveys, and machinery renewal; current sales particulars record another significant refit in 2024. Accommodation for up to 28 crew supports her professionally operated private and charter roles. Published charter programmes include Mediterranean cruising, while her dimensions remain important considerations for berth selection.
