The Rizzardi INfive combines a 16.03-metre planing hull with a hardtop cockpit, three guest cabins and twin MAN diesels driving surface propellers. Introduced in 2020 as the smaller companion to the INsix, it is aimed at owners who want fast coastal passages without giving up overnight accommodation for family and friends. Configurable interiors and a choice between an aft crew cabin and tender garage make individual specifications particularly important.

The model in detail

Introduced at the 2020 Genoa boat show, the Rizzardi INfive brought the larger INsix’s hardtop sports-cruiser concept into a 16.03-metre hull. Built by Rizzardi in Sabaudia, Italy, it measures 4.44 metres across the beam and draws approximately 1.20 metres. Its low superstructure, sheltered cockpit and surface-drive propulsion continue the yard’s emphasis on fast open motor yachts, while retaining accommodation for extended stays aboard.

The accommodation is configurable rather than identical across production. A six-berth arrangement places an en-suite double owner’s cabin forward and two twin guest cabins farther aft, sharing a second bathroom. Another layout combines the forward double with an additional double cabin and a single cabin, providing five guest berths. Both guest bathrooms can have separate showers. Below-deck facilities include a galley, with a dinette available depending on the chosen arrangement. An independently accessed aft crew cabin can be replaced by a tender garage.

Outdoor living centres on the cockpit beneath the hardtop. Port-side seating and an extending dining table face a starboard service unit with refrigeration and provision for a grill. Sunbathing areas occupy the foredeck and stern, with access to the bathing platform on both sides aft. The hardtop has an opening section, and a glazed cockpit enclosure is available. Engine-room access includes an electrically lifted section beneath the aft seating.

The original propulsion package comprises two MAN i6-800 diesels, producing 1,600 hp in total, coupled to Top System surface drives. Nominal performance is approximately 38 knots cruising and 44 knots maximum, although loading and individual specifications affect these figures. The fuel capacity is 2,000 litres and freshwater capacity 550 litres in the original specification. An indicative range is approximately 270 nautical miles. Easy-trim assists drive adjustment, while joystick manoeuvring and bow and stern thrusters assist close-quarters handling.

Construction is glass-reinforced composite, with a planing V-bottom hull. Hull, deckhouse and deck structures are fibreglass, with teak fitted to exterior walking areas on equipped examples. The model has also been delivered with twin MAN i6-850 engines, increasing combined output to 1,700 hp. These boats retain the surface-drive concept; equipment, tank capacities and performance figures should therefore be checked against the particular hull rather than assumed from its build year alone.

Available equipment includes twin 12-inch Raymarine Axiom displays, autopilot, MAN engine monitoring, an Opacmare passerelle, generator and air conditioning. Watermakers and cockpit entertainment systems vary between boats. The INfive accommodates owner operation or use with one crew member, depending on the selected aft arrangement. Its combination of sheltered dining, sunpads and separate sleeping cabins serves both day outings and fast coastal cruising.
