What this boat is
The De Antonio Yachts D33 Open is a 9.8-metre sports dayboat combining a walkaround deck, convertible lounging areas and twin outboards concealed beneath the aft sunpad. Introduced in 2015, it suits buyers whose priority is outdoor entertaining and swimming, with a cabin and separate bathroom for occasional overnight stays rather than an extensive cruising interior.
The model in detail
Introduced in 2015, the D33 expanded the range of Barcelona-based De Antonio Yachts beyond its original D23. Its angular profile and restrained detailing were developed with Barcelona design studio UBICA-ID. Measuring 9.80 metres overall with a 3.30-metre beam, the Open concentrates on accessible outdoor space rather than a large superstructure. The builder’s original specification gives an 8.00-metre waterline length and a displacement of 5,100 kg.
The walkaround arrangement connects seating and sunbathing areas at the bow, central cockpit and stern. Convertible tables allow the forward and central social spaces to serve different purposes during the day. A substantial aft sunpad covers the engines, with the bathing platform behind it. Published examples have a swimming ladder, freshwater deck shower and overhead sun protection, making water access and time at anchor central to the layout.
Below deck, documented Open examples provide one aft double cabin and a separate bathroom, including an electric toilet on some boats. This is accommodation for two overnight, distinct from the original builder-stated daytime capacity of ten people. The related D33 Cruiser has a different interior arrangement, with two cabins and four berths documented on later examples; its accommodation figures should not be applied automatically to the Open.
The original engine specification runs from twin 200 hp outboards to twin 350 hp units. Twin Mercury Verado 300 hp petrol engines appear on several used examples. Performance figures vary: one documented Open is listed at approximately 25 knots cruising and 33 knots maximum, while the official Ibiza distributor quotes potential maximum speeds near 44 knots depending on configuration. These figures do not establish a single performance standard for every boat.
Construction is GRP, and the design uses a V-shaped hull with spray rails. The original specification lists 550 litres of fuel, 250 litres of freshwater and a hull draft of 0.50 metres; that draft should not be confused with clearance beneath lowered outboard legs. Equipment varies between individual boats, with documented Open examples carrying a bow thruster, cockpit cover, shore-power connection and navigation electronics.
The D33 family was offered in Open and Cruiser forms, with Standard, Sport and Classy interior finish choices described at introduction. The D33 is no longer manufactured, and the current D32 is a separate model rather than a renamed D33. Existing Open boats remain in Mediterranean charter service, particularly around Ibiza and Formentera, reflecting their emphasis on sociable coastal outings and occasional nights aboard.

Frequent questions
A verifiable original base price was not found, and the D33 is no longer manufactured. Two distinct publicly advertised Open examples were found at €185,000 and €240,000, giving a median of approximately €213,000; the lower advertisement states VAT paid, while the higher excludes VAT. These are asking prices, not completed-sale values.
A documented twin-300 hp example is listed at 25 knots cruising and 33 knots maximum, while the official Ibiza distributor quotes maximum speeds near 44 knots depending on configuration. The original fuel capacity is 550 litres, but no sufficiently documented model-wide range figure was found.
Documented Open examples have one aft double cabin sleeping two and one separate bathroom. The builder’s original specification gives a daytime capacity of ten people; the two-cabin, four-berth arrangement belongs to the related Cruiser version.
The D33 was developed for Spanish builder De Antonio Yachts, based in Barcelona, with design work by Barcelona studio UBICA-ID. Public listings identify GRP or fibreglass hull construction.
The original builder specification lists 9.80 metres overall length, 3.30 metres beam, 2.60 metres overall height and 0.50 metres hull draft. Fuel and freshwater capacities are 550 and 250 litres respectively; the hull-draft figure does not describe clearance under lowered outboard legs.
They are twin outboards housed beneath the aft sunpad, not conventional inboard engines. The original specification permits installations from two 200 hp engines to two 350 hp engines, and twin Mercury Verado 300 hp installations are documented on used boats.
