The 80 Sunreef Power Eco identified in the video title is a solar-electric motor catamaran built in Poland, combining extensive outdoor living areas with individually configured interiors. It is intended for owners seeking quiet electric cruising and substantial accommodation: the documented four-cabin configuration sleeps eight guests, while solar generation and battery storage reduce reliance on generators.

The model in detail

The video title identifies the 80 Sunreef Power Eco, which must be distinguished from the Sunreef 80 sailing catamaran. The supplied 23.87-metre length, 11.53-metre beam and diesel auxiliary specification correspond to the sailing model, not the electric powercat. Sunreef publishes nominal dimensions of 23.8 metres by 12 metres for the Power Eco. Its composite construction, naval architecture and design are attributed to Sunreef Yachts, with documented examples built in Gdańsk, Poland.

Accommodation is customised rather than governed by one universal cabin plan. The first publicly presented example has four guest cabins accommodating eight people. Another documented delivery uses a galley-down arrangement, leaving the main-deck saloon dedicated to dining, seating and panoramic views. Its four guest cabins also accommodate eight. Buyers therefore need to compare individual general arrangements, particularly galley location, owner-suite dimensions and the separation between guest and service spaces.

Outdoor living extends across the aft cockpit, forward terrace and flybridge. Equipment documented on delivered yachts includes a hydraulic aft platform that handles a tender and can form a waterside lounge. The platform can be lowered to water level or raised flush with the cockpit. The broad multihull platform also provides space for extensive solar installations without sacrificing the principal outdoor seating areas. Neither furniture arrangements nor recreational equipment should be assumed identical between builds.

A documented propulsion package comprises two 360 kW electric motors, a 990 kWh battery bank and composite-integrated solar panels rated at 36 kWp. These are electric propulsion motors, not the twin John Deere diesel auxiliaries associated with the sailing specification. Energy-saving air conditioning and onboard energy management complement the propulsion installation. An Ocean magazine review lists 14 knots maximum and 11 knots cruising for its reviewed yacht; these figures describe that build rather than a guaranteed performance standard for every configuration.

Sunreef announced the Power Eco project in May 2020, and the model made its official premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2023. Subsequent deliveries demonstrate continuing variation in layouts, solar installations and equipment. The builder now also presents an 80 Sunreef Power NEXT evolution, featuring a redesigned aft cockpit with foldout platforms and improved galley access. Those later features should not automatically be attributed to earlier Power Eco yachts.

Electric propulsion does not mean that every delivered yacht operates without fuel. The reviewed example carries backup generators and shore-charging equipment, while published accommodation includes four crew berths. Its reported use includes family cruising and Caribbean charter. Battery-only endurance, solar replenishment and generator use depend on the individual installation and operating conditions; the builder’s early unlimited-range language is not a fixed-distance guarantee at normal cruising speed.
